On the opposite side of the gulf of Siam is the peaceful
and unspoilt busy little fishing port of Hua Hin. Just 3 hours drive
or less than one hour’s flight from Bangkok, it has a 5 km white
sandy beach and has a colorful market. Nearby is an excellent International
standard 18 hole golf course. Only 15 minutes drive south from Hua
Hin is Cha Am which has a 7 km long beach. This is pleasantly shaded
for a relaxing day’s ‘beaching’. Compared to Pattaya
these resorts are much quieter, but still offer a wide range of sporting
facilities, shops, bars and restaurants.
